MYSTERY ON FEATHER HILL story

Each morning four Clump-a-Lumps awaken before anyone else. This has to be, due to the size of their feet. They’re at least three feet long.
When they walk, their feet bend in the middle, and “clump-a-lump” is the sound they make. It takes a whole bag of time to get to their posts. North. East. South and West.
Not far away, a funny bunny watches. Now he knows the mystery of Feather Hill. The sounds he hear from the forest were from these large-foot creatures. If anyone was to solve the mystery, why should it not be he?
Thinking about it made his round smiling face break out in a “Hereahhhaha” the true sound of a mature, full member of the Funny Bunny, twisted toe clan.
Hide! Quickly! Funny Bunny is spotted.
Three of the feather hill guardians look as one of their clan clump clumsily towards the intruder. Instead of a shrieking call of worry, the funny bunny begins a laughing melody.
“Hereahhhaha,” it calls as an echo before sig-zaggging around the clumsy clumper. Anyone with three feet long feet is going to have a hard time against a zinging funny bunny.
Now other clump-a-lumps are hearing sounds of chase. They waken in the dewy forest, not quite sheltered by tall tree branches.
Not so far away, Cobequid Bay reflects the sun. And Funny Bunny is not interested as four clumper feet are stalking him. If one stomped on him, he would turn into an instant pancake.
While he zigs, they clump. When funny bunnies do their zags, they stomp.
Birds watch from their shelter amid the branches.
Mystery solved. And everyone goes home, once again.
