Oh So Nosey

Where are you
Coming from friend bold words
Tossed at the pretty girl
On the street bench packsack
In full view looking me up
And down the same way I did when
Approached by any strangers
Hitching rides from Ontario to here
She said confirming my thoughts
Nice province Nova Scotia friendly
And nosey too I interjected
But still full of caring the sweet
Response just got back from
Cape Breton yesterday traded stories
My wife and I and young lady
Until Ken her partner came along
And we continued our chin-wagging
With tales of sights and sites
Too soon time to hit the pavement
Parting as new friends and
Thinking of thumbs working their
Way across smiles of highway.
