An attempt to avoid
creating cliffs of indifference
as scales of shale climb upwards
daring tidal waters
and exploding cascades
to unearth hidden treasures
from eons ago when
ancestors formed fossils.
Sun’s evening glint on rocky
cliffs is a farewell kiss.
