POLAR BEARS poem

Polar Bears
kill to satisfy hunger. Tundra a
challenge, Inuit alive in
the knowledge
families proud of heritage
as skins of warmth. Beauty is
starkness, hunters
awed by the eruption of
iceberg sentinels
poking from flatness. Memory and
time, where prayers repeat
as voices in harmony…
“You are great, Creator of all,
humbled by your scarlet sky.”
