for a cat that once

I knew

its surface smooth

found not so long ago

on the shores

of Northumberland

Strait

where first I trod

as a little boy.

 

Now the circle

continues

for a man who

lost his dear

cat like the one  

once he knew

and buried

by a favourite

tree.

Thank you af, our cats were very precious in our lives. JC , named after our Jayco trailer we bought the day we brought JC home from the Cat Pound. Our two-year-old JC was with us 17 years.
