Our Blue Spruce
had a withering branch
hung over from
winter’s heavy snow
survived season’s flow
through layers of time
now gains strength
during summer’s plunge
rises alive once more
perfecting its shape
and magnificent to be,
Nature’s intent.

Now then Richard a don't be
Now then Richard a don't be making a habit of writing good poetry like this and making me jealous! ;) Seriously, this type of poetic expression centred in the beauty of the natural world is exactly what I love. I especially like the line "during summer's plunge" so well observed and correctly expressed - it put me right in the shade of this tree. A beautiful write and very well done.
