The Tomb of Jesus

is within my heart. And not visible
like the majestic tombs of forgotten Kings
who once roamed the earth with names
which rattle our tongues nor the
conqueror of lands like the dynasties
of Darius or Nebuchadnezzar who
boasted his empire would last forever.
Yes our Jesus is forever King of Kings
Lion of Judah and Saviour of all mankind.
And on this Christmas Day He roams
the world skipping from heart to glorious
heart so proud of His people who sing
praise to His glorious being the one to whom
we turn when days are less than successful
to whom we seek consolation when our
world is full of strife and He comes as often
as we ask Him into our heart our arisen King
the one who needs no fancy pyramid
because He resides in those who love Him.
