Wagon Wheels

An ancient wagon trail
reaches over the next ridge
to destiny’s door

and grateful to view
possibilities in adventure
anxious to explore---

left early this am for any
abandoned farm lively in its
heritage and I sought

to explore possibilities
from olden moments.

An old mill is a greeting
other buildings in disarray
rundown home and

implements of former worth
as favours from long ago.
