When Momma Cried

it was heart-breaking

just to hear those

sounds crawling across

the floor

into a 12 yr old

boy’s spirit-

dad’s home again

fight night

ready to begin.

WW 11 was a jungle

of emotion then pieces

returned home - no

jobs just liquor

and a proud man fell-

a family of kids

& good wife the real

casualties of war.

Ps  Life is living moments

and there are dark spots

in every box.
