Moon-Silver

This road might never end,
Like a silver coin,
Flipping over and over and over,
Spewed by the darkness,
Melting back into it,
Bright beneath the moonlight.
I don’t care where this road goes,
As long as it just keeps going.
Further and further from the darkness behind,
The fuss and foghorns,
The bellowing and bullying,
The dead-end streets, and dead-end speeches,
So long as a different darkness keeps swallowing up this road.
This road is like a silver thread,
All alone in the universe,
Suspended in eternity;
Who know what hides on either side?
And when it finally frays away to nothing,
Who knows what’s at the other end?
I don’t even mind.
The only thing I fear is that I’ll reach that end,
And find myself back at the beginning again.

Inventive to describe this
Inventive to describe this road to wander, not sure of where you'll end up. Reminds me of the many roads we take in life, not knowing what the future holds, but just needing to get on the right track to happiness.
