Both Sides of Life
Ah! Give me the life with sunshine and champagne,
Give me a dream come true, I'll never complain,
Fast cars, fast boats, and fast women as well,
I just won't care, for I'll be ringing the bell.
What is money to you, when you have plenty?
Stocks, shares, beautiful jewels and the Bentley,
Magnificent buildings you own in your empires,
Waiting for deals when the leases expire.
Life can be really hard, when you are at the top,
No true friends, you just have what you've got,
Heartache, ulcers, headache and such,
For all that you have, your life's not very much.
Then that day arrives, parting means sadness and woe,
You left all your money to dear auntie Flo,
So all of that fast life, you thought would be for yourself,
Worry of it, you died young! And you're now on a shelf.
