Ruminations on Ultimate Truth and Its Nature

I, Sean Lawlor Nelson, have lived life on three continents Europe, Asia, and North America; Mostly North America, and have been blessed to be involved in all of the undertakings a man and renaissance man might be involved in: commerce and the creation of new products, the modification of old ones, the design of great buildings, the design of war planes and war ships, romances, the fathering of many children, many scientific projects, some that bordered on highly unethical I must admit though in my defense they were related to defense work; I have had friendships; I have participated(and tithed) in a diversity of spiritualities and found them interesting and rewarding. I have also suffered great social ostracism, torture in modern dungeons, and other tribulations that would shock the ears of the innocent. But I say all this not as the main event, but merely to introduce the narrator in what will be a succinct but important inquiry and exposition I hope into the nature of truth and ultimate truth; in which I only happen to be the writer, but in which the reader and in some sense all humanity are empowered participants.
First, there are many, many realms. The petty authorities that rule over us in this or that 'ward, confine, or dungeon,' to quote Shakespeare would have us believe that mostly there are only realms like our own, and have us believe their incredible tales regarding the rest of the Earth, the Cosmos, the spiritual realms, and so forth. Why would we trust them? We don't.
Some of us have seen many diverse human cultures in far flung regions of the globe and this gives us some understanding of the diversity of the Cosmos, but only an inkling. For we live on this Earth, this third rock from the sun, where certain tyrant leaders have genocided all human species save the Homo Sapien, have extincted the Unicorns and the Griffins and the Sphinxes and all wonderful beings; and would have done the same to the Mermaids; except they were safe in their deep and dreary refuge of the oceans. To have only seen humans as far as sentient and technological beings is to be greatly deprived such as one who eats only one kind of culinary fare his whole lifetime.
See, I do not like Descartes try to limit and make trivial our reality based on some practical need to rein in the intellectuals and artists perhaps; But neither will I offer any kind of aerie faerie comfort, for while there is much good in our universe, the universe contains much that is horrible and ignoble, cruel, and unjust.
But we might respond to the Descartes of the world on subjects like mermaids and unicorns, which are far more important than their fantasy book celebrity might cause one to think, in saying why do we think these are beings of reality. But it's very simple; Take the case of the Unicorn. There are countless Greek and Roman historians and sources, most prominent of whom is Aristotle who in detail and with personal affirmation describe the unicorn; and in more recent medieval sources, the same from which we learned of castle sieges and Mendel the Monk's discovery of genetics in fruit flies, we are also told of unicorns as if they were just a fact of life, a but slightly remarkable beast or phenomenon. And as for mermaids, 'Mermaids: The Body Found' the documentary which aired on Animal Planet was not any kind of fake but the subject of an intense propaganda reaction. And in the annals of actual sailors, the history of mermaids is in our written histories, holds a sacrosanct place in hearts, and goes back as far as such records do.
So, as you can see, there is quite the battle for our consciousnesses; and certain Earthly authorities take controlling the mindscape of what they view as their worker numbers really just as seriously as they do controlling the bodies, insisting on the right of the state to inject our children with what chemicals they see fit; Even so do they set out to tyrannize the intellectual mindscape not only of the children of Earth but of we adults who they for inexplicable reasons view as children. But I will not give a political response here, as this is a philosophical tract. But let this suffice; In the world of intellectual inquiry, take nothing at face value, but look for confirmation, preferably from completely unrelated or even alien sources. These are the methods with which one gets at deep truth.
But after doing so, we can see that there many and diversified realms. Many of us living on Earth can also see that are unjustly imprisoned from more experience of these realms by those who unsoundly think themselves to know better, but we know; We know. The same goes with alien civilizations; Due to the work of Carl Sagan and many others, we have proof of what I know from personal experience that there is an advanced alien civilization in the Star System Sirius on the Star Sirius B, but there are others; and we seek knowledge about and contact with these in time.
