Come evensong,
when all the blessings
of my life have been
said and sung at the
church of Saint George,
I find solace in the
dusky graveyard -
time suspended, as
I nurse my unborn
babies wrapped in foil;
no silent screams no
gaping mouths, only
tight-shut eyes -
peaceful in slumber,
safe in God-shadows.

I needed to read and re-read
I needed to read and re-read these verses in order to reap what your writing had sown. It also made me shiver and so I read it again.

And I loved this, Coral...
And I loved this, Coral... especially this...
I nurse my unborn
babies wrapped in foil;
no silent screams no
gaping mouths, only
tight-shut eyes -
peaceful in slumber,
safe in God-shadows.
Very moving, and well-written.

this is an amazing poem, yet so sad at the same
time.
By the way congrats on the well deserved cherries.
It's good to see you back.

Well this is a great
Well this is a great discovery and so many others to read. What I liked most was the unhurried gentleness, remarkable in such a tight piece.
