The energy is down

The electricity's off,
The lights are out;
The warmth that was there
Can no longer be felt.

The water's cold,
The world is dark,
Once so bright,
now, not even a spark.

I leave the house,
You haven't woken yet,
Your eyes still closed;
Will you wake to it?
