After she’d gone
I saw her everywhere –
each place I turned,
like swifts at sundown;
black confetti
littering the sky.
And yet, now I see her
in the clouds, through
a flight of swallows
as a summer storm looms
high above a yellow wall
of corn...
until the wind
tears at the root of it all,
like antique silk
beneath the thresher.

This is beautiful. Read it thrice so far. For me, words can't truely describe. Just...give me a minute while I try to take it all in...

Beautiful Tina- I know what
Beautiful Tina- I know what you mean about the wind- it can be quite unsettling. It is by the way very windy here today- typical Autmumn weather but the sun is shining.

there's a someone I feel
there's a someone I feel haunting me too... I like that you have a positive approach to the unseen presence though... then yes, a snap back to reality at the end... nice work :-)

Hi Tina, I found this poem

Hi Tina,
I found this poem so emotional and tender.
When you love someone so much, you cannot
and do not want to shake their memory off,
so see them in all of nature.
Wonderful use of words here, like in that
last stanza. Simply beautiful.
Jenny.

This is lovely Tina. So moving. Sentiments I can relate to after a very sad year.
