The instant she was born,
she made her presence known;
such tiny lungs, yet a cry, louder
than any trumpet.
 
Fay-like – fragile, she seemed 
until she changed this butterfly-
brained, slip of a girl, overnight
into a mother.
   
The cord cut, the knot – tied,
but a bond formed from love
is the kind can’t be broken.
 
From the moment she arrived, 
my joy –  phenomenal; seeing
her bud, 
 
watching her bloom
in a blossoming, 
unstoppable.

This was such a gentle, tender read Tina. I could almost feel the touch of those tiny baby fingers clutching Mother's one finger for dear life.
