When I think of you, I can’t recall your face
but there are times when I walk outside –
like this evening – the sky a deeper shade
of missing you blue...
the smoky breath of a jet – crimson tinged
the speck of a bird gets more distinct, the more
I look...I see your eyes and in the blackness
of their core, your image
at the top of the hill arms outstretched, just as if,
any minute I might take one deep breath
and you’d take me to wherever it was
you went and went...

This is so beautiful, from a place felt, breaks the lines which separate what we perceive as our reality from the rest.

This missing of a loved one

This missing of a loved one gives this poem a haunting and meditative sense of longing. I liked the idea of standing on the hill and reaching out to a spiritual soul, that even though can't be seen with the eyes, exists because we believe.
Beautifully mastered Tina.
Jenny.
