Missing You

Emotive thoughts

of loved ones

embodied

in us all,

 

we'll talk about

our losses

until out of

words I'm sure,

 

sitting here

in silence

till weakness

becomes strength,

 

optimistic of

the future

with those on

our wavelength,

 

remembering

our yesterdays,

now relinquished

we hold on,

 

to every prompted

memory by

letters, photos

or a song,

 

antiquities that

they leave behind,

an antidote of that

I am sure,

 

collection of personal,

simple treasures

bring you close

to them once more,

 

so if light should

live in darkness,

traverse across

melancholy years,

 

friends sharing all

their heavy sadness

with those misty

flowing tears.
