Melodious harmonies echo
rising high into the dome
inspiring...uplifting me,

note for note flawless...
sweet - sounding with
colourful tones,

the aromatic fragrance of
incense adds to the mood
painting an atmosphere,

aesthetic sounds...
created from voice alone
Mediaeval Angels chant,

they beat out their rhythm,
hypnotic sounds invisibly -
coil...intertwine through air,

sounds that take me
to another place...
another time.

Hi there, Jenny. This is a lovely take on the I.P. Just a tiny point, I think you mean 'melodious' in the first line. I like this stanza, especially:- "they beat out their rhythm, hypnotic sounds invisibly - coil...intertwine through air..." Just beautiful;-) Tina

Thanks so much Pia, I was listening to the Mediaeval Babes today, and this kind of came into my head. They are a french group of girls and they sing like Angels, simply beautiful. I'm glad you liked it and thankyou for telling me. Jenny.

new skinner_jennifer Really enjoyed this. Incense and angel's very angelic. Uplifting to me, I feel sleepy already. Only joking. Reminds of year's at church and incense used at some, not been over 6 months. Well who cares now, some priests did all for me moved on different. I am busy doing something or having long lay in.Used to be so busy there, in helping it was great. Now no one notifies anyone even if sick? Peculiar world. Quiet music no words yes, is so relaxing. Or tapes. Lines Sounds that take me to another place.. another time. yes, I too say good poem for the (IP) julie xx

Hi julie, thankyou so much for your long newsy comment. You know my theory is, that you really need to look after yourself before you can think of others, because if your energy is not there, then you cannot be there for others, if you know what I mean. I really do love to listen to beautiful angelic voices, it relaxes me so much, also love to meditate with incense. Hi Kahdai, yes music certainly can do a lot, where would we be without it? I find music always uplifts and inspires me, no matter how I feel. It also conjures up feelings of the past, another great reason for having music. Glad you liked this poem and thankyou for letting me know. Jenny.
