Rapunzel

There was an old woman who lived in Berlin her time's nearly run its course, keeps her spindly fingers nimble busy with her knitting needles. Granddaughter now lives with her been there now for nearly a year since girl's parents passed away in car accident on that tragic day.
Rapunzel is the seventeen year old's name golden tresses reaching down like a mane, to slim ankles that bind girl with a heavy chain, grandmother doesn't like her going out she's afraid of what dangers lurk about.
One day when on the internet, advert Rapunzel there did spy a chance for her to do some good, caring organization who needed hair to make some wigs for the local charity...cancer research!
Reaching out Rapunzel quickly took a chance applied for some information on this circumstance, very soon reply came back with great results hair was perfect was their pleased response.
Rapunzel knew when time was right she had to leave the flat. When from her chains grandmother finally set her free, finding the address it wasn't far from her family home just a stone's throw away, near stadium with a dome.
Morning came grandmother freed the girl, always keen to let her shower each day to keep her long tresses clean. While grandmother was knitting Rapunzel thought it fitting grabbed clothes, quickly dressed not worrying about the mess.
To the kitchen she did go, grabbed door keys off kitchen shelf, granny's home was at the very top of the twelve storey flats. Without thinking out the door and down the stairs she rushed. Soon at the bottom not hesitating Rapunzel was really sweating.
Path led down to a road where lots of children were crossing, then to a river bank across a bridge Rapunzel hurried on. Soon she came upon the building, went right up the steps and rang the bell announcing her name, voice came over loudspeaker; “Do come in we're on the top floor, we've been expecting your visit.”
Rapunzel's now knew her calling, with tresses that grew so quickly they used the hair and gave her a job, that's when she met prince charming. Now with many years under her belt she works for cancer research, it's a pleasure to help those in need like she's had another rebirth.

There is a charity supplying
There is a charity supplying wigs for those who've lost hair during treatment isn't there? A lovely idea for her. A good depiction of the grandmother's fears becoming over-protective and stifling.
You sounded partly in poem-mode here, with some of the turns of phrase and there seemed to be quite a lot of rhymes or near-rhymes giving it a bit of a beat in places. Rhiannon

I didn't know anyone wanted
I didn't know anyone wanted cut hair! A very goop idea though, lovely to think something one person doesn't want could make someone else feel happier. It always makes me sad for some reason to see hair falling onto the floor when it has been cut off. And strange to see lots of people's all mixed up when it gets swept up, though the people themselves might never even meet

This one girl in grade one
This one girl in grade one was always telling us the story of Rapunsil very animated I think the teacher liked it a lot. She also liked me a lot untill I drew a cross right across my exercise book page diagonals for show-off and handed it in I also liked our her less after that.
How on earth did you manage that very large space Jenny?
