Dear diary.

Sauntering down to local lake at

Silver Jubilee park, along nature's

trail between coveted canopy;

pollen particles sail on swiftly

merging with my thoughts.

 

Insects brush away knots tethered

by a breeze, wearing themselves

out crawling along grassy blades

and limbs of trees,

 

so they pause their journey these

liberated Inter-weavers; as lively

dragonflies take flight, no weight

of day's labours rest on wings;

graceful balance seems so right.

 

I was certain I'd sleep well that

night with the ecstasy of the day,

it's so agreeable when anxieties

casually drift away;

 

calm lies in brisk fresh air and

cheery smiles, nature's soothing

symphony of spring that whiles

away daylight hours.

Another enjoyable diary entry. You dovetail with nature on your walks, Jenny. Beautiful pic - it looks like a very lovely place. Paul :)

Hi Paul,

it certainly is a lovely afternoon's walk, they have plaques along the trail giving information on the creatures, birds and insects that can be seen. We saw a lot of fish jumping, so assume the lake must be packed full. Also there were coots, mallards and swans, though we only saw one that day.

I've finally managed to get some photos developed from my new camera, so it was a pleasure to be able to share.

you know it's always a pleasure to watch nature, the way creatures go about their buisness takes away my anxieties. I really hold precious these nature walks and it's fun to be able to share them in poems.

I also love your diary entries Jenny - this one is no exception, and at the end of a very hot day here, what a pleasure to see that calm water surrounded by all the green.

One small thing: I'm not quite sure sentient is quite right - maybe you have your autocorrect on?

you were right about that word, i don't know what I was thinking, but have now changed it to 'certain.' Thank you very much for your help.

It was a lovely afternoon's walk and so peaceful sitting by the lake.

our hospital is called the Golden Jubliee. Silver Jubilee offers a different kind of balm.

Hi Jack,

I suppose there were many places commerating the jubilees. I've only been to the park twice, so it's a pretty special place, which is why I took the photo, so I'll remember.

Hi Nolan,

retreating from work is wonderful and so relaxing, being someone who now suffers with anxiety in stressful situations. Just think you will have retirement to look forward to in the future. I revel in the delights of hobbies and I'm never bored, even when there's nothing to do, then I can just sit and meditate on nature.
