Two Special Granddaughters

It's never easy trying to convey

with words those emotions of love,

but today at your mum's funeral

my eyes overflowed with tears,

 

these beautiful daughters as you

speak of your late mum so special,

how she lifted spirits with her warm

smile, gave you strength when needed,

 

now as we lay mum to rest and remember

my lovely girl that white feather that fell

between us as we spoke of her, that me and

granddad will always be here for both of you.

So sorry for your loss but so glad you are still writing.  I do aDMIRE YOUR OUTPUT.  I AM still hoping to erite somethiing swwortnhile but as you can see the typing has become more difficult and the.brain doesn't work like it once did,

Thank you for your kind words Rhiannon. It's been a very emotional day and a river of tears cried. 

I just had to record the sentiments I feel for my partners granddaughters who have lost their much loved mum. They're only 18 and 22, it seems so unfair to loose a mum at any age, leave alone daughters so young. Thankfully their spirits are strong and they both got up and spoke at the funeral, something I could never do at my own mum's funeral.

Thank you insert for your caring comment. No this isn't about my mum, but my partner's much loved granddaughters mum who died recently. They are both so young. As I look at their mum's photo, she has such a warm and wonderful smile that could light up any room. She was fun loving and loved to be around friends. She will be sadly missed by all of us.

I just wanted to record this day in my dear diary memory moments before it was over.

Again thank you for your words they mean a lot.

My dear Moya,

I'm so sorrry to read you're having problems with writing. This is just not right. I hope you can keep trying to get down what you want to say, even if it takes longer than normal...don't ever give up hope, please.

It was a wonderful service to day and the man who led the service was brilliant, he kept the service as light as he could and some of those that attendended wore bright colours, as Sharon would have wanted,  being a party girl that she was.

It was extremely tearful though and there wasn't a dry eye in the place, even some of the men were wiping tears from their eyes. I think I cried more today than I've cried in a year, leaving me feeling extremely fragile, unlike the granddaughters who were so strong.

Anyway, again I hope you can take your time and write because it really helps to share.

Hello agaiin, Jenny.  I am so glad the service went well.  It is horrible when one loses anyone, let alone a close family member.  

As for the wrtiing thati's on the  back burner for a bit longer as I have moved to be near my daughters.  I've had quite a few falls (5 in one day) so they were worried.  Butt hey ho life is a terminal illness!

Hello Di,

it's good to hear from you and I appreciate your kind thoughts. I have to admit today I'm feeling absolutely drained after a night of tossing and turning. But you're right Sharon was a warm and loving soul, I could always feel that warmth in her presence, when we would give eachother hugs, now it's her daughter that I get the love from.

I bumped in to her eldest daughter in town a couple of weeks ago, and as we were talking about Sharon, this white feather just dropped from the sky between us, it was such a spiritual moment and we both looked at each other and felt emotional...such a beautiful moment. 

I just wish both daughters much happiness and that they have a great life, which is all we can hope for.

Dear Moya,

I'm so sorry to hear that you've had that many falls...and in one day, though I'm glad to hear you have a family that cares and that you are now living closer to them. 

Before I had my hip replaced I was always falling down too. It's hard getting to an age where you're unsteady.

I do hope that your future looks brighter and that when you are closer to your family that you can again express yourself and feel that confidence return.

I wish you good health Moya and hope that a Christmas shared with family brings much happiness to you.
