Watching

My eyes follow you into rain

feeling dry earth becoming moist,

growth echoing below meadow sweet

pulsing daisies and buttercups to rise,

flutter leaf-wing on blooms of flowers,

heat of day...vernal breezes soon passing;

golden sun warms your endearing charm

as you siphon sweet fragrant treasures within,

pollen of desire you soon succumb;

exploring like nymphs beneath branches,

you spread your fancy, let us see your charm

comparable to peacocks displaying feathers;

those wings of holly blue, orange tip and scarlet

akin to red sky rising at dawn, what an utter delight;

you have no burning ambitions or need for acceptance,

time is short in transformation from pupa to bohemian,

Yet! When I watch tranquility you posses in this garden,

I'm reminded of these short lived moments of pleasure,

when on a bright sunny day, my breath is taken away by

inner contentment of living with diverse mother nature.
