What I Love

Dear diary...
Tuesday 23rd August 2022.
Walk in Stanton Wood.
Quietly slipping away;
focusing on restored rhythm
rising with every second,
eyes transfixed on wood
where we walked,
peacefully gazing; knowing
energy of feeling anxious
finally descends,
allowing myself to peer
at heartfelt tranquility;
blown between many trees;
thankfully accepting this gift,
meditating on well being;
I catch my breath
at how quick
mother nature's
invisible form penetrates
my skin, like an unseen ghost,
as refreshing evident air
cools my spirit,
while wishing musical drops
of rain would fall
promoting even more balance.

Enjoyed another meditation with you, Jenny. Some of these diaries are Zen-like. Words to close your eyes to and breathe. Paul :)

So many benefits and blessings from the soothing islands of created nature. As Paul says, you take us with you into the breeze and soothing greenery! Rhiannon

there is an energy to air in a wood, whether it is being in the middle of trees communicating, or the threads of Nature are not so worn thin as in places we have made our own? Maybe just the extra oxygen, I don't know, but it's there for sure! Like you, I love how it wraps me the instant I am under the leaves, then pushes all my own human worries out

This is lovely Jenny.
This is lovely Jenny. Apparently it's called forest bathing and as you say, its benefits are remarkable.

It's a Thing in Japan - but
It's a Thing in Japan - but it's a lovely way to describe it isn't it? You're very lucky to have woods nearby. There are some here, but I think it's private property (though I have been) - and it's also a walk on a busy road with no pavement and a 60mph limit, so not much fun to get there

wonderful! lovely work!
Lovely Jenny, wonderful! I always feel so empty and bored with my life compared to how full and beautiful your days are, well that's why reading your work is such a pleasure. And for many of us too! Although I do think I have a very rich inner life.
See you & Nolan
