I remember when we
Laid on that perfectly cut grass
Lying in the crucifix position
Trying to count all the stars
In that midnight sky deep blue
We found a flag
That I waved to celebrate you
Our beautiful peace was disturbed
By an irate golf course groundsman
With a torch and a dog in tow
Who bellowed this is private land
I laughed and took hold of your hand
We ran off into the woods
It was my fault for leading you astray
How we loved each other that day.
