That Kensington Hotel

I remember it well
That Kensington hotel
I’ve just told a lie
Because I can’t recall its name
But I remember that Saturday night
We watched a posh couple fight
From our hotel window
Laughing at their articulation
I met you At Trinity College
You were seeking knowledge
At a pointless summer camp
I sought out your bright blue eyes
You came from a wealthy clan
A New Yorker with a tan
I became your tour guide
In exchange for sex it seems
We had six weeks of laughter
This is all that we were after
No wedding bells,no true love
Just material to write about
Your last weekend arrived
Our casual affair survived
We went to London
And stayed in that Kensington Hotel
I described the Sloane rangers
Pointed out loners and strangers
From the window of our room
We sat up all night with the moon
I kissed you goodbye in Terminal Three
You smiled and waved back at me
I drove to Oxford smiling
At the beautiful secrecy of fate

Reminds me of Leonard Cohen's
Reminds me of Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat.
I like this, some nice lines.

yeah, I agree, I love the odd
yeah, I agree, I love the odd sense of slang where there isn't any. One line kind of hits me wrong -
although - I'm not certain why 'In exchange for sex it seems' comes over a little off kilter.
hope you don't mind me saying so.
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
