Oh mighty Oak
I watched you choke
From the poison
That fell from the sky
You knew it was coming
I heard the leaves cry
You lost your spark
I watched the peeling of the bark
Your limbs turned to powder
Your soul scattered in the soil
We did nothing to save you
We should have shouted louder

This was a sad read. I can't help but get emotional when I read about the destruction off such a fine ancient tree.
