And in the night the world is still, tawny owl sings low and deep
No human witness bares the tale by shadow nocturne's creep
Swollen moon of silver sheen, perspires swarthy light
The death march of the dinosaur two million years of flight.

The night falls still in reverence
Ghosts hang their heads to weep
A pre-historic foootfall shakes the forest floor from sleep
The thunder of Jurassica, a dinosaurs demise
Nothing left for him on earth, he lumbers back in time

Ages fold in on themselves, centuries implode
And time recedes from planet's crown, past's follicles of old
Evolution not so smug, he's twisted in defeat
Progress pisses down his leg and pools around his feet

Liberty's a homeless hag, torch traded in for crack cocaine
Freedom's into S&;M she's handcuffed, nipple clamped and
chained
Lizzie's guards at old Buck palace have gone to find some hole
And the severed head of William Gates stands guard upon a totem
pole

At the threshhold to the past, big lizard looks at future failed
His whale like liquid eye is gorged with sorrow, future jailed
In the scaly reptilian's tiny mind, he formulates a question
