the thing with a cock.

Is it 'aint always pretty

when you stop and take stock.

Sawyin' and danglin'

and hangin' in the breeze

Or seen from behind

when you bend at the knees.

Now that's a treat

for the missus to ponder

and Mr Goes-yonder

But all things considered,

we have to make do

At least God, in his wisdom,

Clearly you take a Northern Hemisphere perspective when it comes such landing gear...

Down here in the Southern lands, for the very reasons you state, we are taught at an early age to ne'er look up to Scotland!
