Round, flat, bright and beautiful,
the intensity of your colour
attracts all creatures great and small.
Sweet, Soft, Lingers your scent;
a mesmerising blend of all things delicious.
Gleaming smile,
your delighting face
the most welcoming place to plant a gentle kiss.
Some would steal you to show to the world in vain,
but I'd much rather appreciate your majesty here alone,
to enjoy your true happiness,
to be cheered up by your smile,
and to be delighted by you
every day.

Hi Sophie-Stokes, This is exactly the way I like to look at petals, in their natural enviroment, with the bees and other flying insects taking the nectar from the flower. I love the line: the most welcoming place to plant a kiss. Simply beautiful. Jenny.
