Senses

Racing,racing
my thoughts keep racing
to what I think
I deserve
and what I've had
happen-but comparing those
two only leaves
the mind and the soul
empty.

Seeing,seeing
the worlds problem
is seeing and hoping
and assuming-
it is our downfall
to what is in front
of our faces-but the blind
are no exception.

Hearing,hearing
beautiful voices
and loud shouts create
noises that plague
our minds and dramatically
change our thought
processes-but the deaf
are no exception.

Thinking,thinking
about the past
and future
and wondering how much change
has or would happen-
hearing advice
that I would never think
twice about all have
given me racing,
racing thoughts
in the first place.
