Bernie Sanders 2

Now let's look at the upside. East Asia will feel threatened, especially China. China imposes a 100% tariff on US goods. This is how the government makes money. They know that they have one of the biggest markets in the world, and they take full advantage of it. Chinese made products will not do as well at higher prices and the US government will make money on the tariffs.
As for South Korea, tariffs have been lowered over time. There is a low tariff on US goods and there are even US style shopping malls opening in South Korea. Also, US military does not subsidize the South Korean military. So relations will South Korea will probably remain relatively the same.
As for Japan, I think Bernie will suggest that the US no longer subsidize the Japanese military.
So what will Bernie do with all this money coming in from tariffs? He will definitely expand the entitlement programs. He will perhaps create national standards for police behavior. I'm not quite sure what he would do after that?
Barack Obama was the darling of the European left as much as Bernie Sanders is now. Would Bernie Sanders begin where Barack left off?
And in the same boat, Bernie can go another route. He can repatriate the high-tech corporations and collect tax money from them. If he goes this route, this will be seen favorably by East Asians.
