But does derrida really mean that all contexts are equal? No. he means that the mechanism by which a culture forms a context is basically the same. All contexts are not equal and if they were equal, we would be facing a hobbesian reality where all contexts are competing for supremacy. We may as well have the Rule of Cromwell... the Renaissance was a time when all the pagan forces became organized under the Catholic Structure shown in Michelangelo's sculptures and paintings. High Cultures perform on a level that is much higher than lesser cultures... it's got all the elements of Stephen Covey 7 habits of highly effective people. It is both highly technological and natural.
