You can't seriously think that I don't think of you,
Lady of the Sword...
how you make the wind-ship
when you play.
Do not think me ill
although I be ill at ease, I suppose
I could be infected with a disease.
Germany is strong now and atop the cherry blossom,
why waste away in infamy.
Trill the throats of the birds at large
and still no warping of the wicked nightengale.
Do not strike at me, saying,
"He is a betrayer or even worse,
he has no backbone."
Accept these glad tidings from me.
