See You Around

I love the world,
It seems so majestic from the comfort of wet grass.
My lungs fill with the essence of life,
And a lump builds in my throat.
I think of family members no longer for this world,
And friends who reside across the baron ocean,
And the people I have loved or will love.
An intrepid red carpet stretches further than my young eyes can see.
I am so humbled by the power of being,
I find myself asking unanswerable questions,
Pondering the most intimate of moral fibres,
Playing them like a muddled harp in my embroiled mind,
And the intense path of thought leads to a profound ache in the
stomach.
I can take no more without exploding as I search for the answers
which sit so poignantly on the tip of my tongue.
In dazed confusion,
I look to the azure sky,
She utters, "see you around",
And the melancholic numbness creeps in.
