For you

If I wrote a love poem It'd be about you,
Tangible, sweet, like the last summer evening,
Being away from you is the caging of my soul,
It reverberates in my stomach with a vigour
Driven by the passion in your eyes.
My devotion to you is such
That no words are worthy in it's description,
Your spirit seeps into me with every second we share,
And I feel myself slipping away,
Your peace and tranquillity watch over me.
Holding you close is a blissful pause in time,
Your provocative scent sends me to places
I have only seen in dreams,
And my eyes prick with tears at the thought
Of no longer embracing you.
You are the air in my lungs,
The blood in my veins,
And my heart only beats as a celebration of your existence.
