Your Day

This is your day,
Look at the sky and all the lights rolled out before you,
As you tell yourself that love lies dormant,
Somewhere out there,
In eternity,
And like a blind man with needle and thread you will try to make it
fit,
Around you - just a comfort blanket to keep you warm 'till
summer,
But your eyes are ripe this time of year,
And you shed a tear or two, of despair.
But fear not little one.
Don't wrap your arms around your body,
Thinking you will never find yourself,
And what evades you this season,
Because every day, each unto it's own,
Will bring you closer to your destiny and when
You have no place to turn to,
And the storm clouds of this little town prelude to this little
world,
They loom,
Just remember the love you have behind you,
Is the love that will remain until the sun sets on time itself.
Friendships, first loves, passion unrequited,
Every feeling of devotion ever to grace your life will raise it's
head,
And keep you moving towards your prize,
One so deserved as you follow your heart through the corridors of
time,
Dreaming of where you will end,
How you began,
And where you are on your wondrous journey,
Your soul hitch-hiking through life,
Making wrong turns, taking busses leading nowhere,
Sticking out a resilient thumb and walking alone for a while.
But never being jaded or lacking emotion in your heart.
Remembering to live each moment is all you truly need,
And the love you desire will bloom of this.
