Tiny People

There was this huge ruckus in our class, all boys murmuring loudly that they have seen them. Telling and informing others like me about it and giving all the details of their discovery animatedly. Eyes widened I listened to them, but just not convinced about that stuff. Inwardly the curiosity was bubbling like anything, was about to erupt like a volcano. Seriously, I mean it.
I am drawn towards people who tell stories, true or false, I don’t care but I cannot resist myself from listening.
“Arrey, suchitra you should’ve seen them. So tiny they were, this much only” said my classmate, raised his hand in the air but covering only up to his palm, with the forefinger and thumb of another hand describing their size.
“And… and, they can climb on your shoulders and talk to you. Inserting their entire head in your ear” said he, gasping for breath. “What did they say? Which language do they speak?” I inquired. There was a momentary change of his facial muscle, a frown, and told that how much ever we try it will be in vain given their low voice-pitch. It would sound just like buzzing of flies or mosquitoes, so was I told.
My mind raced through many thoughts, can they still be alive? How did they manage to travel so far to stay in Rock garden? That too in Prem nagar..!!. I must see them; I instantly made up my mind. While returning from school that day, two of my friends and me—the trio—advanced in that direction. The weather was overcast and the breeze, carrying dust with it swept our faces, and made a whoosh sound. Reached Sai baba temple, which stood on the corner of the small colony and beside that, is a small road, crossing it and walking for some more time would lead us to our destination.
The climate didn’t seem conducive to our further involvement in the expedition and we backed out. It was getting dark, and we would be late wandering here and there not knowing the directions because we’ve never been there before.
The next day our English teacher wrote in all our diaries, a request, I guess thus saying:
Dear parents,
The faculty of school is not responsible of your kids after the usual timings. It is observed that students after listening to the story of “Gulliver’s Travel” (the non-detailed part of English) have conjured up in their minds that Lilliputians exist. And some of them started spreading rumors that they’ve seen them in the Rock garden, this has increased the visits to the garden and has come to our notice, so we request you to take care of your children

Welcome to ABCTales Suchitra! This is an interesting start. I think it was a good idea to use the teacher's note to nudge the reader in the right direction. Is there more to come?
