Self Destruct

From the darkest side of life, you’ve dragged me down by the throat
And here you are mocking me for not standing my own ground
After I have stood yours during the battle of your mind, body and soul.
No mirror dare reflect your form and bare your ugly face
No bird would sing having heard your voice;
Spitting poison through the veins of the Earth
No flower, having met your eyes, would open every morning
But wither slowly, painfully evermore
Now you've put me in a cave; rivers and streams rushing all around me
Just one foot above this small, empty room, a mad battle rumbles
Lost in this sacred temple, the grand fortress that once stood proudly
Facing the world with optimism and tall with pride
Twin mouths in this cave drip water from the rivers above
Waterfalls drowning nesting eggs, while the mountain at its base crumbles
Boulders breaking flocks of trees, crashing down on the world
Blocking the streams and crushing those that drink from them
The sky fades to black with bloody, bleeding clouds
And the finally Earth breaks around this mountain
It shatters like the mirror that refuses to bare your face
Killing all life with your self destruction.
