It makes me sad just seeing it
Of how bad the world can be

I grab a book from the shelf
1 sit down
and
cover myself
With a old blanket
that I have to hand

Oh I open the book and then I escape
To a far off places in my mind
I don’t hear the world
around
I just shut it off

I’m
in a world
full of words

could be of anything
the words are calling to me
to make them come
alive

As I read each word
I am living
And seeing
what are in them

Oh I had my fix for today
and I‘m
smiling away
and I have a tissue at hand
Just in case the next book
I look at is sad
but I’m
left feeling good
and now I have so many questions in my mind
About what I just read
And about who and what and who Fred

time for me to move
