I found a letter from you

today when I was cleaning out an old draw

i found a letter from you 

and as re-read your words

i am reminded

how I felt about you 

 

each letter you wrote on the page

remind me of each day with you 

the happy times 

and the sad

and

the day we said 

goodbye

 

you got on with your life 

so did i 

your happy 

so am i 

 

once

i got a phone call from you 

to remember 

the old times 

that was years ago 

your talk about your life 

and

i talk about mind

 

i would still see you

around

now and again 

but you move away 

but that ok 

your happy 

i am pleased

for you 

 

oh we were so young 

but a first love 

is always

something 

special

our sweet young heart

back then

 

i hear someone calling my name 

i am smiling again 

i put your letter back 

in

my keep box of memories 

that letter from you
