when too many old
people are cast aside

like bits of rock on
the roadside

understand

they think that a
helping hand

is being kind

but sometime

there another side

when an old person dies

and family come

who could not be bothered in life

now they weep pretend
tears at their graveside

in life they were
living and breathing

being told what to do

but now that there gone

they left you

good people out there
