Being Strong

Why don't you understand?
Is it because you're incapable of understanding?
Or is it because you choose to ignore it?
I don't understand why you ask me what's wrong.
Because after sharing with you,
you change the subject and ignore the fact that I'm upset.

All I want is someone I can talk to.
A person that I can fully trust.
Someone who will listen.
I hate not having anyone to talk to.
Not having someone to talk to hurts.

It's hard to be strong when you only have yourself.
It is killing me.
Each day takes effort to go through.
No one knows the pain I'm keeping within myself.
Although I only have myself,
I will try to be strong.

I have always tried to be strong.
Maybe not for me,
but for you.
