Forgotten fruit

Drag me kicking and screaming from this monitoring
that has imprisoned my mind.
Where the thoughts bounce back, echoing briefly,
then are cast into oblivion like cherry pips;
the succulent fruit, devoured, enjoyed, digested
then forgotten in the hunt for tomorrow’s
sustenance;
A new crop!
