The silence batters my heart;
foolish old man!
I walk swiftly past doors, marked
Jealousy and Desire,
pausing outside Love -
wherein, I once did dwell -
I offer my key
but it no longer fits.
I wander on, tearfully,
aimlessly; lost...
and the silence batters my heart.
