That Summer!

Oh that summer!
We walked the country lanes,
your hand in my pocket,
playing with my lose change
I smiled; panting.
You mentioned the apple blossom
hanging overhead.
You said you would do anything
to hold one in your hands,
I gave you a leg up onto the tree
You leaned out on the branch,
sniffing the pink(ish) flower.
A bee lodged in your left nostril
and stung you till it died;
you fell to the ground screaming.
Your shirt was shredded and your
breasts popped out embarrassingly.
You asked to borrow something
to cover yourself with;
I gave you my baseball cap
I sadly showed you the place
where I had first made love.
You asked me, why was it
that I looked so sad? I explained
that I had been on my own that day.
That day will live in my memory;
how we laughed about it later
and indeed the rest of the school
when I displayed the photo that I had
taken of you peeing in the woods.
They were simple pleasures.
The innocence of it all; the scars!
I wish I could go back and relive them;
maybe with a zoom lens this time.
Just us and minus the baseball cap!
