They Offer Tears

Day is night and night is day;
the morphine induced rainbows
colour my mind.
Like the migrant bird;
my job here is done
and I must follow the path home.
The sneak thief came a-creeping
In the twilight and before I
sensed his presence
he had stolen all.
Just the shell remained
to face the darkness alone.
The tubes gurgle, or is it just
the blood dragging itself round;
screaming at the
ailing pump for more -
like the trainer of
a flagging, exhausted athlete.
They stand and sometimes lean in
to my vision, wondering
if I can hear,
or recognize the
pity in their eyes.
I long for smiles; they offer tears...

Yes, I'm sure you may be right about the "pissing it all against a wall" claim, but at least they won't want to disown your skills like my kin probably would mine.
This morning, I finally remembered where I came across this site. I had bought a book titled "Erotica on the Internet" about ten years back and this site was one of the very few that was still up and running when I found the book again a few months ago.
Unbelievable and one reason why I doubt any relatives of mine will ever read on here, a shot in a million so to speak. Well wait, that didn't really sound right. There is so much more to this site than a hot steamy read or two; such as yours.
