The butterflies flit on the breeze,
from bloom to bloom,
like the discarded remnants
of your derided love letter.
My poetry stutters, screamed
onto the page;
jumbled, coarse and meaningless -
no rhyme, rhythm or reason.
Frustration-fizzled stanzas;
vitriolic hailstones,
driven on blizzards
of guilt, remorse and pain.
I don’t want your tomorrows -
they have no future -
I’ve got the ones I need.
Blame me for your hurt,
blame me for everything.
This infatuation’s over...
Go now, go now... please!

Love the alliteration in this one, Chris, and the layout of the poem emphasises its 'punchy' style.
'Frustration-fizzled stanzas'...Brilliant!

Don't think there is much
Don't think there is much stuttering here. Sad right enough.

It is terrible when things

It is terrible when things have to end that way. It takes two to tango, no one person being to blame. There is surely guilt and remorse on the other side. The passion, sadness and pain brings tears to my eyes. You always hope some of it was worth it, that there is a reason and meaning in everything. Wonderful write Chris. :)

You are very welcome Chris, indeed...some lessons are not worth such loss. I believe everyone has a bit of culpa in any given situation. :)
