Mask of Darkness

In this beautiful surreal reflection
I saw something, touched through
Felt a surface, melted a night in an hour.
In the darkness I felt the light
Arrogance surpassing sight
A miracle sunk beneath my skin
Which kept me haunting you
Tracing the skin on your body
I followed your organic shapes.
I saw a beauty which hurt when you
Could feel my joy. I lost sympathy
In the aftermath; energy in your soil
You became a garden statue,
I placed high above your bracket,
The sun beating on your back
Weather chopped away at you
And the rain fell I was left underneath
The pensive state that The Time had laid
On my, I fell bitter like under spell.
And the day continued, as did the night
And no difference could be elevated.
No understanding with the real was sought
I left pity as a mask of sailing
Feeling your wind in the mask of dark.
