Can you blow circles one inside the other? And smoke out the mouth into the nose or put the cigarettes out on your tongue? Play chicken with a burning cigarette's coal I always won so I never played. Or crush it in your fist? For long I smoked pipe tobacco that is a messy story I said I couldn't afford cigarettes. As a youngster smoking made you feel very very sick lied down even an hour horrible in your head but you persevered. Insanity.

Burned holes in everything and it smells bad too. Once my car took fire from all the matches on the floor and couldn't pull of the highway hell that was a close one.
You cough and cough and cough and spit always craving your fingers stain looks bad some people have terrific headaches also chest pain and shortness of breath. You burn holes in everything clothes and duvets sheets blankets expensive carpets and sofas car seats it is a fire hazard. It can be ugly as to fall asleep with a cigarette in your hand.
Second-hand smoke can cause hay fever if you are allergic but the actual smoker doesn't sneeze. I sometimes had burning wet eyes and I believe that in fact it can easily be as far as causing motorcar accidents especially in fast highway traffic. Also like when dropping your cigarette and burning yourself. I'm talking of experience not much safer than drinking and driving.

I'm clean of tobacco about seven years plus, try and try again, worth it but a bastard. I do think it is easier if you are a bit older. God will help you. Took some tries it was well worthwhile.
There are support groups for nicotine addicts on the internet it won't do harm. In my experience very often, usually (successful) attempts are claimed to be because and with aid of some personal idea of god, in effect, God. I would actually recommend attending such groups.
Big business very lucrative, I've tried them all patches, gum, sprays snuss looks to me all like just a waste of money in fact I don't know any successes. Ziban too doesn't seem to work they just start smoking again and it is probably dangerous some people become psychotic. Most people that do quit quit cold turkey. I've tried many times that is a good thing. Have stopped for 11 months, 7 months times two and a number of times a week or two. Best stay away from alcohol bad company or very stressful situations. The more you try the better your chances and I know many people who did quit.
When finally stopping planned the whole thing ahead in great humility. I ate lots and lots of chocolates those in the little crinkly wrappers grew tired of it after a time, and lots of fruit juice substitution and treats aren't always a bad thing.

Apparently the “new” thing is vaping, supposed to be safer. I don't know about that nicotine is terribly poisonous I think this vaping must be very hazardous. Is it expensive? And snuff, and chewing tobacco or the chew is horrible, vile, nicotine gum is not much better. Also watch out for the spray it is 95%+ alcohol. As for the patches I find the idea ridiculous. Beware of commercial programmes they make extravagant promises and extremely expensive. Due to the nature of the problem such courses almost always are ineffective.
Guilty of undesirable conduct you must have smokes, always and cigarettes are terribly expensive most people have to resort to illegal cigarettes. A simple fact. I smoked a lot, ask anybody who knew me they'll say I easily smoked more than anyone else they knew (of). If you said I would stop they would have simply said it is impossible, it's a problem really and at work too it's not healthy some people just nail you some people have no compassion, at all.
Non-smokers are very unreasonable it looks like they enjoy your suffering you are an outcast. Always have to stand outside and all that. Legislation takes it too far honestly people are terribly selfish. It doesn't help.

Somehow people on psychiatric medication smoke excessively it has to be a chemical thing they really smoke a lot. Old men with broken teeth stranded without love, sometimes I sits and I thinks, sometimes I just sits.
Those DEATH cigarettes do you still get them? Wonder if you do, a black packet with white skull and crossbones, they were very expensive, later you got DEATH LITES too, must be for those who prefer a slow death. Or a soft and easy. Tempting fate playing tough guy I like the idea an axe over your head, hang on just a quick smoke-break.
It is a far better life without Nicotine, by the Grace of God!

I smoked and finally quit in
I smoked and finally quit in my 30s. Of course, you save a fortune by not smoking! Really not sure about vaping. Supposedly safer than smoking but I have a feeling that there is a lot still to be declared about the effects of vaping. Interesting piece, Tom! Paul
